Traffic exchange websites are a simple, quick and rather effective method of building a referral line. For that matter of fact, they’re good for generally promoting your website irregardless of niche. So, how does this work?
Most websites are manual surfing where you sign up and then just “Start Surfing.” You’ll then be displayed a random frame showing another member’s chosen page, much like you will choose yours to show to others. You’ll have to stay on that page for a certain amount of time (15-20 seconds) following which you will be, in most cases, prompted with a captcha verification of sorts.
Alright, so as you do this and complete visits, you acquire points/credits or whatevers as various sites call them differently. These tokens you can use to exchange to your site being included in the surfing zone so that others can see your page. In other words credits = views to your page. Various websites offer various rates for credits/visits. Some even have games/quizzes and other activities to let you earn credits.
There’s a lot of sites like these out there and everyone has their favorites and each has their ups and downs. It’s only a matter of choice which of these you use, but you should make use of them.
Tips for efficiently using Traffic Exchange websites for PTC referrals:
1) Build a Splash Page! You only get to see the main page when you visit other people’s sites. If that page isn’t eye catching, they’ll just move on to their next click. And there’s not usually too much time for them to look at it before it’s time to move on. If you see a good, interesting page, you might click on it so that works for others too. You need a fast loading page and one that draws attention. Think about the fact that you’re actually selling your merchandise there in a way, you’re trying to get viewers to sign up to your referral link and you only get one shot per visitor.
So, how do you make a splash page? They’re not hard to do, it’s pretty basic stuff and there’s a lot of page creators lurking out there on the internet. An easy one is Google Page Creator and it’ll also be fast.
2) Spend some time surfing and getting credits(a few hours per day)…there’s no shortcuts here, well, not TOO MANY: you can surf more than one different traffic exchange site at a single time, this is quite alright.
